Specialized Systems Software LLC - Backflow Devices

Specialized Systems Software LLC is a company that was formed in 1998 to provide Water Utilities with software products designed to help with the tracking of Utility Assets. These programs have been designed based on fifteen years experience in the Water Industry as a Water Operator, Cross Connection Specialist, Finance Administrator and AMR sales and service.

With the increased reporting in recent years, along with water accountability and the need for up to date information, it has become more important each year to know the condition of the system. This extra workload has taxed many Utilities to where normal operations have become difficult, if not impossible, to stay up to date on.

About The Programs:

These programs are designed to track your assets from the time of purchase, along with all testing and maintenance, until the time of replacement. Reporting is provided during all phases of the assets life. The programs available are
  • Backflow Tracking and Testing,
  • Cross Connection Control,
  • Hydrant Tracking and Testing,
  • Manhole Inspection and Maintenance,
  • Meter Tracking and Testing,
  • Street Light Inspection and Maintenance,
  • Valve Tracking and Exercising and
  • Work Order and Inventory Control.

Our goal is to provide Utilities with the software needed to perform the job of providing the best service possible to their customers with efficiency and lowest end cost to those same customers.

We will remain flexible to change in order to meet this goal and seek the Utilities input for new products and recommendations for change to existing programs.

Tokay Software - Backflow Prevention Navigator

About The Program:

Navigator

The Navigator is a Microsoft Windows application developed in Microsoft's Visual Studio. The Tokay Navigator is designed to comprehensively manage the Backflow Prevention/Cross Connection Control Program. Tokay Software is the developer and publisher of the Navigator. As a true Windows application, the Navigator utilizes all of the standard Windows operating structures. The tool bars and the icons will be both visually and geographically familiar as they purposely duplicate all major market applications developed for Windows 95 and newer. The user is able to navigate through he software easily and instinctively. The result is a greatly reduced software learning curve. The Navigator is ODBC compliant, network ready and Oracle compatible. The Navigator supports a variety of networks including Novell and NT. Information is stored in a Microsoft DBF file format. This information is open and available to other applications.

Surveys

The Navigator has a complete survey/inspection module. You can schedule surveys, generate survey forms and notices.

Letters/Notices

The Navigator will generate letters/notices directly from the Tokay word processor or, using the Tokay Word Wizard, you may generate notices from Microsoft Word. The Navigator easily prints one or two-page notices, as the records require. Records with multiple devices will have all devices listed on the page(s) following the cover letter.

Reports

Multiple report formats are available in the Navigator. All reports are designed to be informative and visually attractive. Reports allow you to retrieve meaningful information for analysis and/or documentation.

Two report formats meet all needs:

MACTEC Federal Programs, Inc.

WaterTool™ Software

Free software is now available to help Department of Defense installations manage backflow prevention and cross-connection control programs.

About The Program:

About The Program:

MACTEC’s advanced management and analysis software, WaterTool, helps DOD installations maintain compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act. WaterTool is currently being applied at 16 DOD installations nationwide. Features include:

  • Easy to use
  • Free to DOD users
  • Saves time and money
  • Simplifies data updates and management
  • Preloaded with all required USAF reports
    (other reports easily developed)
Reduce Your Data Entry Time and Cost

WaterTool eliminates the need for paper forms by allowing users to input data using a Personal Digital Assistant or Pocket PC, and periodically synchronize the data with a desktop- or server-housed database. This eliminates the time, cost, inefficiency, and inaccuracy often associated with paper-based data gathering.

Simplify Your Data Updates

MACTEC can deliver WaterTool preloaded with your data so surveys and testing activities are merely an update of existing data—not reentry of the same data from paper forms. This process simplifies initial data setup as well as future updates, saving you time and money.

Manage and Report Your Data

WaterTool manages survey and testing information for thousands of buildings on multiple installations. The database runs on any Windows-based PC, contains detailed information and test results for each device, and allows for comprehensive, integrated analyses of all results. When it’s time to report your data, WaterTool allows you to print all required US Air Force reports, and other reports can easily be developed as well.
